Moyes' Tenure Ends After Four Years

David Moyes has left his position as manager of West Ham United, the Premier League club has confirmed. Moyes' departure comes after a difficult final season in charge, with West Ham finishing 16th in the table, just one point above the relegation zone.

Moyes was appointed as West Ham manager in November 2019 and led the club to a ninth-place finish in his first season in charge. He followed that up with a sixth-place finish in 2020-21, securing West Ham's first European qualification in five years.

However, West Ham struggled in the 2022-23 season, winning just five of their first 21 games in all competitions. Moyes was sacked after a 1-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on 18 May 2023.

West Ham are now on the lookout for a new manager, with former Burnley boss Sean Dyche and ex-Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri among the early favorites.
